Blanket

This is one of the 4 blankets I made. This one is for my partner's mum. She asked me specifically to make one using colours to match her room. It took me about 3 weeks to complete and I am so proud of it! The wool I used was Stylecraft and so far it's the best wool that I've managed to find that is silky enough to use. I was so proud of it that I wanted to keep it for myself! So a friend took a photo of it at the craft group we go to and she posted it on her blog. I had so many lovely compliments! I have just been wool shopping this morning to make my partners birthday present. I've already made him a black and white cushion that was for Christmas, but little does he know he's going to be getting a blanket for his birthday at the end of February! Fingers crossed he likes it! I've picked out 4 colours to match his bedroom, as it is red, white and black, but thought those colours would look too harsh together. So I picked out a deep red, stone, grey and beige/brown. I will be taking them to the craft group tonight to show my fellow crocheting friend to see if she thinks they match before I use them, as she has a perfect eye for colours! Fingers crossed she approves, then off I go to make his blanket. Will let you know of the outcome and will post a piccy as soon as it's completed.
